He had three children with Elenita. These include two daughters called Kristine Dominique and Angelica Nique. Barreiro and Elenita also have a son called Ernest Adrian.

Barreiro's marriage to the former Elenita Banaag was declared null and void in 2008. Barreiro moved in with his partner, Deeda Garcia, in 2010. Barreiro and Garcia have now been living together in Metro Manila for around 12 years.
